Getting our home away from home out of hibernation

Today we went to the Terry house where our trailer sat all winter. Everything was fine until I tried to tow it out. We had to move a telephone pole that was making it impossible to align the trailer to fit thru their narrow egress. Using a pry bar to coax the pole out of the way I hurt my lower back. Very PAINFUL. Made two visits to a medical doctor and a chiropractor. This day is now wasted and they both said it was probably a muscle issue and I would probably have to endure a few more days of pain. Nancy is fine so hopefully we can stay on schedule. After we moved the trailer we found a small amount of water inside but have yet to determine how it got in.

Preparations:

Our “buggy”

When we accepted the opportunity to serve we realized we would need to acquire a UTV or as others call it a: “ride”, “buggy”, “side by side”, “4 wheeler”. Well, after you see the pics you can decide what it is. We bought it sight unseen from my old college roommate in Utah. My son just picked it up yesterday.

Kawasaki Mule

Notice the fly rod leaning across the back… well I sent my son the following text:

Thanks for the pics… it was nice of glenn to throw in a fly rod???

Ha! No that’s my rod. That rod had just got done catching 8 fish on the river right across from my house.

Well I guess that means no fishing for us.
